HECOM PANELBEATERS was established in 1985 and the present owner, Leon Richard Van Gend, purchased the business outright as a going concern in July 2014. The business had moved to it's current premises in 1996 and was later doubled in size in 2007 to accomodate the growing amount of vehicles to be repaired.

The name change from HENCOM PANELBEATERS cc to HENCOM AUTOBODY (PTY) Ltd came about in 2018 as we felt the name was more modern and more aligned with our quest for top quality workmanship and professional service. We have all of the requisite state of the art equipment in both the panel beating and spray-painting fields at our disposal, to ensure that our qualified personnel have every opportunity to perform at their best and do top quality work, backed up by our 3 year workmanship and lifetime paint warranty.

Community Development and Training

We Do More Than Just Keeping Your Vehicle On The Road

Our community development program is active in sponsoring an underprivildged youth from Mpumalanga in order to attend the Craven Rugby Week on a yearly basis. We are also actively involved with and supporting the Ethembeni Children's Haven. Additionally, we are also registered with Merseta as a training facility for both panel beaters and spray-painters and currently have apprentices in both of these trades.

Proudly Level 2 BEE Certified

We are proud to say that we are level 2 BEE certified as we are a 51% black owned. We employ 6 qualified artisans in all aspects of our trade and a compliment of additional staff, resulting in 32 staff members in total. These consist of 18 african and 14 white individuals in all.
